I assume that it is an internal cut-off. Given that each basin has unique geology and IVZ is a wild-cat basin (so no prior data), using regulated cut-offs wouldn't be applicable or appropriate.
IVZ does have MK-1 data which would have supported in some manner their net pay figures. Though the sidewall cores (which provide valuable information) were all but damaged so probably led to the conservative cut-offs anyway.
