Hungary is part of the EU. The EU tried to mould the Hungarian opposition into a coalition and withhold Hungary's COVID recovery funds to try topple Orban but the guy has massive support in the electorate. There doesn't need to be a hard choice of being part of the EU or doing business with Russia and China - that should be determined by each countries sovereign elected government unless you believe the unelected officials in Brussels should call all the shots? Even so Hungary has complied with the sanctions except where it would badly harm their own people. I think Hungary is a good example of a country that has peaceful relations with its neighbours, a popular government with sensible policies that work for the people, they haven't made the same mistakes as the others in the EU on uncontrolled economic migration yet have taken in huge numbers of refugees from Ukraine. They have dialog and maintain critical energy trade with Russia and China and advocate for ending hostilities to re-establish peace and prosperity.

The EU has rules around rule of law, judicial and media independence. Orban is in violation of those rules. You want to be part of the EU, you follow EU rules. Orban isn’t this he shouldn't get one cent nor voting rights. Cant be a despot free loader. Out he goes, simples.
