There's a constant stream of choppers passing overhead Highway / coast road Cairns to Port Douglas .... very shut & damaged, boats running instead and inland route via Mareeba may open in 2-3 days. And of course lots of misinformation out there. Looking like our Christmas lunch @ Northern beaches restaurant (if they're even open ) won't happen unless l dust off the Maricat 14 foot yacht or someone lends me a speed boat.
