".......... I have always felt that the risk ha been overestimated by the market, and the potential rewards underestimated. ......."
Howdy DBK, seems a fair and reasonable position. Guess to be utterly pedantic the one word "always"could be tempered to "for quite some time" but think even the most severe of detractors would understand the statement as it stands, for what it is.
It has again been a very interesting year for IMU with lots of points of seeming contention thrown up at the punters. Some have argued for and others against each of these yet here we are at the end of the year with no tangible negatives, all cornerstone supporters still onboard, the science still taking (only) positive steps with lots of news of likely advancement to come in '24.
This past year we lost one of the worlds more reasoned individuals in Mr Charlie Munger. One of his perhaps lesser known quotes was "You must force yourself to consider opposing arguments. Especially when they challenge your best-loved ideas" Suggest thanks to this forum and its contributors there has been ample opportunity to look and reflect on all 3 sides of this IMU coin. So sincere thanks to all contributors for assisting me in this task.
Happy to say that at the end of the day, stripping away as much emotion as I can, IMU still very much meets my personal investment objectives. Of course I am one of the more fortunate of punters still showing green and so sympathize with those who end the year under water (we all have those). Daily price however, is very low on my scorecard as I tend to buy with a view to hold.
Very best wishes for the festive season to all contributors and even more so special thoughts and very best wishes to all those who unfortunately are bringing reason for the development of IMU.
