• labelling of people who don't fit religious ideals as heretics and deviants
• over-population (thou shalt not commit hanky panky or contraception),
• wars and hatred of other religions and regions (the feared "Other"),
• disastrous governance
• and fear of death....
• 
  all parts of hell and problems of fanaticism.
  
  What good has come from religion?
  A: righteousness. even when we're wrong.
