I'm only on the first day/night of researching Valleyarm but the potential for this is actually mindbooggling.
Some of the markets i'm seeing here are:
1). You Tube users who post their music online - but remain unnoticed
2). The bands/singers that endlessly play at night gigs and get mucked around, ending up really nowhere.
3). With the popularity of Idol series, XFactor etc where good talent can sometimes go unnoticed, Valleyfarm can be that medium by customers can initiate the next step for themselves (and keep 100% of the profits)
Also with digital TV now in full swing combined with the Telstras et al offering products like T-Box music channels, marketing possibilites are endless.
Rough calcs:
say (1 million signups x $169) x 80% = $135million
Given theyve tapped US, UK, Europe and pretty much all Asia Pacific and theyve partnered up several global majors - 1 million signups could be conservative imo.
