And just on the subject of the NBN, here is a little snippet that I heard on Brisbane radio yesterday.
Telstra is shutting one of its telephone exchanges at South Brisbane. They are replacing the service to households, with, guess what???
"Fibre to the home!!!".
So, if private enterprise is prepared to upgrade services in due course, why are the taxpayers being forced to bankroll a system that has not been costed and which, will end up costing a lot more than the $43B ball park figure spewed out by Labor?
Perhaps this question should be put to the Independents, including Wilkie.
