Margins are kept and when the cycle goes back the other way for discretionary retail you will reap the reward with each additional sale. Once you start heavy discounting you change ppl's perception of your brand and you will never get it back. Kathmandu is a premium outdoor clothing brand, not your patagonia or northface but also not your anaconda. It's a bad day, month and year, but ask urself why did you buy this company in the first place?
