I respond to your idiotic statements as follows :

    1) Nuclear subs are an offensive offset, they are designed to operate inenemy waters.

    - I am unsure what an "offensive offset" is. Please define "enemy waters". Once a vessel is more is than 24 miles off the coast of a country, they are considered to be on the high seas and in international waters.

    2) US purchase Virginia attacks subs for $2.8 bn each, for Australia itsmarked up 20 times.

    - Please provide details of your calculation. What is the replacement cost of a Virginia class sub once it has been modified and maintained / updated as at date of delivery, including new reactors, spare parts and fully trained personnel ?

And 3) diesel subs are quite than nuclear submarines andtherefore more stealthy in home waters in Australia's coast, but for long rangeoffensive missions they are less stealthy to nuclear subs because they have toresurface for air.

    - I assume you are stating that diesel submarines are quieter than nuclear submarines. Why? Besides air, they also have to surface to refuel, and to charge their batteries, which makes them a sitting duck . They would easily be detected by satellite,if not aircraft or drone. The enemy needs only to track the refueling vessel.

What is the point of having subs in home waters ? Do you think that merchant shipping (or our Navy surface fleet, for that matter) will be safe until it reaches home waters ?
