People embrace religion not because of fear of the retribution or eternal damnation - but a deep set fear that they nor possibly anyone will ever have all the answers. That why they make stuff up - because people inherently can’t deal with the facts that humans don't have all the answers - deep set fear of the unknown and arrogance mindset thinking that they are the supreme being is why they embrace these silly mythological stories.

Religious people attack gaps in science likes it a revelation – because they fear knowing that we will never have all the answers. They see it as a weakness rather than an opportunity to learn and in their small mindedness and arrogance they become anxious as they struggle to accept it – clutching at any story that passes by.


We can theorise about the start of the universe - or the beginning of life and calculate the probability of such – but ultimately, we will never know. It’s a leap of faith – a leap to far for some to accept that as reality – that’s why people clutch at the fantasy, the silly stories of the bible etc.
