Though my initial concern is the unsustainable price rise the initial comments did not boost the share price sustainably as if it was mote a case of passing wind. If the chinese are really serious as you indicate then graphite producers around the world should be on a steady trajectory upwards.
China hàs always known of its market dominance with Graphite, EGR are just not producing the necessary traction to get projects either fully funded, arè still poor with thete PR in relation to advising shareholders as to the current progress of the qualifying plant, funding of Tanzania Duma-Tanzgraphite and an operational timeline for constrction/production, plus NO NEW Off take agreements for Tanzania, no clearer/closer inrelation to POSCO or SungEel of which the company is clearly provìding the market with clear exoected progress reports.
I was one of the Rebels behind last years push for a spill of the Board, along with a few others. I let them talk and gave them the benifit if the doubt and was ok with goving them 12 more months.
There 12 months is up and little practical progress has been made and the shareprice has been decimated and still no clear income stream!
What's interesting is that graphite is nit just used in EVs its used in a range of industries which will also be affected if the Chinese decide to embargo Graphite. Therefore why has the price stumbled before even getting any real traction.
Hence I await the outcome of the talks according to Reuters Now.
What has me interested also is the lack of attention being given to other impacted industries using graphite products, im not hearing this.
As EGR have stated they have a range of bi products they expect to produce totally unrelated to EV industry, yet they are not discussing or mentioning those products, and those industries which use them and potentional impacts on shortages. It's as if the entire focus is EV,and we all know this not to be the case.
If someone can show me the surge in graphite prices across the board, then I'm happy to bend the knee.
I really want to see the price of graphite moving which will support a Chinese tightening of graphite and some action in Tanzania and the qualifying plant progress.
I would have expected by now to see pictures of constrction or some sign if activity if we are going to be producing material within next 4 or so months as inferred on the announcement of WA site being selected as the site of the qualification plant.
