    I really don't think the GST should be raised, especially due to its regressive nature. However I do support a move away from giving with one hand taking with the other in regards to the poor (Even though this is more targeted we lose too much in between).

    In my opinion we'd all benefit more from a reduction in the company tax compared to income tax. I think it was during the Reagan era they found individuals would work less hours if they paid less tax as leisure time was valued higher after cultural goals were met. A company driven by shareholders has allot less desire to work less for the same outcome when they can work the same for a greater outcome. However this brings up an arguement with standard of living vs productivity and GDP growth.

    Sadly since the LDP are pro small government and therefore pro minimalist election campaigns they don't receive much coverage.

    Also some of them their social policies turn off both the left and right (Against Gun control and pro same sex marriage).

    At least they stick to their principals instead of going down the popular route. Pity they have handed the DLP a senate seat and can't get one themselves.
