Skin in the game is not always the best... With too much skin in the game, you may be willing to take on addition risk searching for the greatest return on your investment at the expense of the safest path to approval.

I imagine there are people in the industry that put more emphasis on their reputation and achievements in the industry over how much money they made or what records they may break (ie, skin in the game can mean different to some. I for one put more weight on what impact I make than what money I may make).
