It makes no difference to me, I own x% of the company. If they consolidated and an offer of $X dollars comes in, the dollar value is identical to me.
8 billion shares, offer of $8B comes in that's a buck a share.
I have 5M shares, I get $5M
10:1 Consolidation and it's 800M shares and I now have 500K shares. But the $1 a share becomes $10 a share so it's still $5M for me.
