What a manipulative diagram. Why would you post something which even a 5 year old would understand is incorrect?
Seriously, you reckon the solar panels plug directly into the EV do you? In what world are there no inverters, no battery storage, no transmission lines, substations, to distribute, transformers etc? All of these things have significant cost and energy posses. Not to mention that the vast majority of EVs are actually charging from coal fired power stations, not solar panels.
Its all too convenient to play pretend with the fantasy of EV charging by creating Disney like make believe pictures but the reality is absolutely nothing like the diagram that you have posted. Maybe one day but not here, not now. Most EV drivers are buying into a green dream which is actually an economic and environmental disaster here in AUS. I like the dream but but just like your chart, I can't live in a fantasy land.
