You're quite right to take the piss "thinking they just have this in cash is laughable", although, not sure anyone has said he had the cash. But then again if he can rustle up three million he can also rustle up well over his five million entitlement with his assets backing.
Why wouldn't he?, after all, it's a motza maker and others have bought over their entitlement based on that.
