Taylor, agree totally with what you say about Iranian society, and there are indeed fractures. Most of the young ones like ipods & blue jeans, and admire the western lifestyle. The older ones despise the decadence of our society and dont want their country to go that way. But faced with an outside threat, they would unite against that threat. re an attack, while I fear it will happen and hope it doesnt, I sometimes feel its all just posturing by Israel & the US to frighten the masses into bringing about regime change. And in case of an attack, China might just get involved to protect its huge interests....as might Russia. China is getting peeved at the cheeky provocations by the US in holding naval exercises with SK close to Chinese waters. China is getting sick of Hillary Clintons attacks. Russia is getting peeved over the US encircling it with bases. It might just happen that would unite and face a common threat. Be a silly move to attack Iran.
