Is a belligerent China really so unrealistic? We dont know where peoples heads will be at in 50 years time and what type of bizarre doctrine or cult will take hold.
I can imagine quite a few pretexts for China to consider invading Oz in 50 to 100 yeasr time-
1. Historical pretext that European colonisation of an island in SE Asia was merely an aberration now to be corrected 2. Australia leaving undeveloped land for centuries while China population explodes 3. Protecting Chinese investments in mining/farming, oil and gas (an intervention)
