It’s given me some new data to refine my cardio protect MOA hypothesis.

Cardiotoxicity is cause by Ros and oxidative stress. These aspects are also the main killing power of Dox, inhibiting this will reduce anti cancer effect. It would require ROS to be unaffected in cancer cells whilst shielding healthy cells.

If Bisantrene does not inhibit ROS then the MOA that protects the heart must be completely novel. Perhaps the bio for DrBrian Jensen gives some clues about this and the work he does with ‘receptors’ that prevents cardiac fibrosis (e.g scarring).
