Do you really think that the leaders of underdeveloped and developing countries have not had renewable power infrastructure "suggested" to them?

We have global conferences about the climate and renewable energy running almost continuously around the planet.

Typing "Just get yourselves renewable power already, people!" on a keyboard or presenting papers on it at conferences, or talking about it on television are inordinately easier than actually doing it in the real world, where gating factors such as the principles of physics, thermodynamics, and economics get brought to bear.
