the answer is "time "
if they are syuccessful here they will do more, when they are able .....if unsuccessful they WILL keep trying in Ukraine as long as putin is in power

but partly I agree with your point and have heard some silly comments .....NATO countries are off the table - only non NATO countries are vulnerable , russia is too weak and always would be to take on 30 countries combined

I've seen one list rating UK military ahead of russia in Europe ....add in Italy , France ,Germany , Poland etc etc .....no contest !
there is no doubt NATO countries combined - even without US and Canada far exceed russian military capabilities not just in quantity but also in quality


but even apart from that the russia /NATO conflict can never occur because of the nukes (both sides )
