I held a senior position in the Simadou PFS for Rio ten years ago. The estimate then to get the project completed - mine, rail, port - was approximately $US 25B in 2014$. High grade iron ore in one of the worst places on earth. So Arrow proves up a resource ( and it will cost a lot more money to do so ). What does it do then? If Rio and Chinalco wouldn’t take on the risk, could a small company go forward with anything? Would love to know the MD’s strategy. He is a smart man, a proven performer. I understand the excitement but the reality is a long road and a lot more capital expenditure for a questionable future.
