OK, so Redflow have now moved on to a battery that could have been mass produced, except that for a battery to be mass produced and be completely reliable as made, every single component has to be 100% reliable, every batch of every part. Until very recently that was definitely not the case, the last piece that was causing an issue was from the external supplier supplying the glass reinforced HDPE ribs that were separating the stack components.
Now apparently fixed and now made in house I believe, no longer from glass reinforced HDPE.
During a chat after the AGM I was told the supplied HDPE for the ZBM3 was found to suffer, persistently, from inconsistency within batches. It seems now we are now ready to move on to actual mass production. Getting ready for a bigger factory?
