Just yesterday at work, the TV news had some moron on talking about how 2024 will be hotter than 2023 which was the hottest on record.

Everyone burst out laughing. One, their predications are normally wrong, two it was not warmer and three they even talked about heat waves. WE used to call heat waves summer.

The BOM and all their hangers on in the media and co are just discrediting themselves by the day. Famers are now using independent weather services and have given up on the BOM. In reality the BOM should be sued by farmers just like any other 'expert; who gives dud advise and causes financial loss. Livestock owners sold as they thought they would not have feed, grain growers did not harvest early as they thought all was OK but the rain did a lot of damage to their crops. A few lucky farmers had independent advise and harvested early.

Time the public service in Oz was held to account, they are the worst operators in Australia by a country mile. Name one Govt department able to do the job we the taxpayer fund. And yet they get away with it. Has to change, the process of decimation of public service employees at all levels needs to start.
