One needs to remember a lot of things when comparing Aussie investors to others especially America.
First the American dollars is much higher than the Aussie dollar
America has around 350m people and Australia around 27m.
Australia has a much harder task of getting into the world markets for their products.
Australian Government investment in Australian Industries is low compare to other countries governments investment in local businesses
