Thank you for this. The way I interpret it, though, is that you respect ME as a person which I appreciate. If you think my VIEWS are wrong you don't have to respect them at all! But you do need to give some evidence about why you disagree.
Another way of looking at it: if I decide I don't believe in gravity, you can show the ultimate disrespect for my views by forcibly preventing me from jumping off a cliff.
