It is natural to speed up a little when the road widens but those people who have felt uncomfortable with the following car’s tailgating them, leading up to the overtaking lanes should be aware that they have been impeding traffic.

If they’re not switched on enough to understand this simple fact, they shouldn’t have a license.

They’re a danger to all road users.
