I'm in Perth, summer vegie garden is going in this weekend. Tomatoes, Lettuce, capsicum, cucumbers, radish and spring onions. Will also put in melons and pumpkins, but because we have a bit of land I usually put them a bit further away from the other stuff, saves them growing through everything else. We like to start off with a good dose of ckook poo.
Thought I may put in a few strawberries, in pots this time. A few years back we did a garden bed a put in 200 strawberry plants, but it just kills your back picking them.
Our secret recipe for good vegie results is. Get a drum, place in a bag of sheep poo with stab holes in then fill with water, leave for a few days then use your watering can to water plants a couple of times a week with this mixture. just keep topping up with water.
