As Ive said a few times on HC now, your comments reflect the usual HC conspiracy rubbish. Hence Im not going to go on about it other than to say, prices have been coming down for 18-months so its not new. We are in a down cycle due to various factors.
Platts is a PRA and sources trade price points from multiple sources. The wording and methods are no different to other PRAs which SET the reference prices for buyers and sellers. As an example PLS use the same reference prices/commentary from Fastmarkets to determine prices between customers. PMT will do the same thing (unless they sell all their vol on spot) given they'll need offtakes in places with a formula for their reference prices.
You'll come to learn these things over time.
