    @RM
    "So again it destroys the notion of two divine beings in the United Church of God off shoot of Armstrongism and affirms the monotheism of Christianity."

    Rm,you try to speak as one of authority

    Unfortunately,it sounds much like Malcolm Turnbull,many words,but not much substance(evidence)

    Trinitarian belief is certainly not monotheistic,this is the point of the discussion, which unfortunately for all of us escapes you
    Mono =1
    1cor 8.6
    There is one God

    Council of nicea says,there is one God,father son and holy spirit
    Last time i looked,this contradicts what the bible say Rm,sorry.

    "Again if you did a modicum of homework you can see how this verse was actually used against the Arians."

    Actually,Rm,I've made my point perfectly clear,usually the bible as my evidence.
    If you instead of concentrating on telling others what you need them to believe,and actually understand the subject matter.

    We all would be better off,infact ,arianism has nothing to do with the point at hand,so if you yourself did a modicum of research as you call it,there were three beliefs represented at Nicea
    Yours
    Mine
    Mr Gordon's
    These three concepts still exist as the main belief streams of what is broadly called christianity
    Trinitarianism
    Arianism
    semi Arianism
    These are the basis of 99% of christianity

    "There was a poster many years ago who became a Unitarian and kept quoting a book called the Two Babylons by Alexander Hislop showing the pagan origins of the Trinity this book may be of interest to you showing the undeniable pagan links to the trinity. Now this poster unfortunately missed the point that Alexander was a hypertrinitarian and it was just a proto bashing Mick book. Once I pointed the premise of the book out to him 'Mr B' felt pretty flat."

    TThat would only be you talking yourself up,from the discussions i saw between you two,you didnt understand what you were saying nor the opposing view,similar to this debate,infact you were owned in that issue

    The trinity teaches that christ came here and then left us and sent someone else,a very sad theology
