All biotechs come with significant risk - it is just part of the nature of the sector as developing a new treatment is a very difficult problem and there is lots that can go wrong that is unpredictable.
The upside is biotechs come with the potential for very high returns in exchange for this risk. You can afford to have a lot of dud investments if some of your investments return 10x or 50x.
