It hurts to see many investors buy the dip that keeps dipping, after having spend some time in the other thread detailing why appen is not investable. I hoped at least one person would read my post and follow up with their own research, I had provided a number of links in my posts, very sad to see this.

Today was a strong bearish break on $0.57-$0.60 support on very high volume, even higher volume than the gap down day from CR, I don't recall appen having an outsized move like this without some catalyst. One thing I've noticed since 2022 is whenever shorters rapidly increase their position, a negative "trading update" comes within weeks, indicating these shorters have insider info. Shorters have not increased their positions so far (4 day delay on shortman), but there's a chance today's move is due these shorters having learned something new.

And for people who think appen might get back on their feet from a strong november + december, you should go on similar web and look at connect.appen.com web traffic. For some context, in 2022 their monthly traffic was 7M+ near the start of year, then 6M+ in mid year, then steadily declined to ~4.1M in 2022 december. The second image shows traffic for last 28 days, i.e. december 2023. One can look at these charts and conclude the CEO will come out with another "we've had yet another soft start to the year" in the Feb full year report.
