There may be some conjecture or misunderstanding around the Renesas tapeout.
As I read it, they were taping out for a 3rd party and who knows who that is and for what purpose / product.
That to me is the question, as this 3rd party may not say they are using Akida given it will probably be one of many components that go into an end product for consumer or industrial use.
"If" that's the case then it will be done through Renesas licence and then flow to us via royalties whenever that 3d party starts selling their product.
Product Dev in tech is not a few months process and we wouldn't know what stage they were at.

The other thing I do like coming at the CES is the Microchip enablement demo.
We obviously have a licence with Renesas and now one of their competitors is collaborating to show the benefits of Akida with their MCU.
Hoping the exposure gets some traction and entices another licence maybe in due course.
