they burnt the biogas from a SA water treatment plant to heat their silicon , using its thermal mass and phase change to store some energy. Its failure was no doubt caused by the heat loss of the high temperature. Also the carbon emitted from burning the methane no better than flaring. There was also some scandal about inappropriate behaviour from one of the senior staff.
