If interest rates are close to Zero in the US why would SSN want to pay off their debt..

Why not transfer the $$$ to Oz & put it in the bank, then borrow what they need in the US where interest rates are 0? They'd probably get 7%+ here, and have the money to drill in the US. I suppose it sounds simple, but probably isn't, have to watch the Oz$ for the exchange etc.

Still it's nice to have the "problem" of what to do with so much cash.

Anyway, managed to pick up some more oppies today at 057/058, happy with that :)
