How about cooking up some answers to Australia’s East Coast Natural Gas supply problem, or at least supporting exploration??!

Your portfolio as resources minister is sitting on an approval of PEP11 for the exploration of natural gas in the Sydney Basin 30klms off Newcastle the largest coal exporting Port in the world. Advent, a publicly funded Aussie company has been bent over backwards and reamed whilst on Keith Pitt’s watch as resources minister and by our ex now Censured PM over actions against PEP11 secretly.

And now it seems currently on your watch as federal resources minister, enough is enough Madeleine - it’s been over 3 years now of delays in your ministership and past. It is simply ridiculous to think Aussie explorers can survive and discover in Australia under such delays.

In one hand you preach your love and conviction for the Aussie resources sector, but on the other hand you sit on what is obviously a NOPTA approved application and delay it whilst preaching to the public the need of natural gas discoveries on the East Coast of Australia.

This one’s simple, don’t make mistakes like Scott Morrison and Keith Pitt regarding PEP11 exploration approval. Talk to Australian’s about PEP11!

PEP11 needs support at ministerial level as all exploration campaigns do, otherwise how are you going to transition this country to renewables over the rest of this century without a solid local supply of Natural Gas, Victoria had been blessed with the Bass Strait supply and that’s in rapid decline at the moment and Pep11,s possible 6 TCF of Natural Gas is at Sydney’s Back Door perfectly positioned to provide transitional energy to industry and retail on a Pep11 discovery of Natural Gas.

It’s time for PEP11 approval Madeleine, start walking the talk on natural gas exploration. Support your sector otherwise you won’t have a functional and financially sound sector to be Minister.

The debacle and saga of PEP11 stops now. Simply do what should of been done in 2021 on NOPTA approval and let Advent get on with the job of discovering transitional energy for all Australians, and stop covering the extremely hypocritical Northern Beach elite by delaying PEP11 a day longer!

In reality the Northern Beaches area and electorates are part of the biggest coal exporting port in the world, and your ministership is delaying exploitation of Natural Gas offshore in the same area, that’s simply hypocritical and double standards, do what’s right for all Australians and rally for Pep11 exploration approval at a ministerial level as Keith Pitt did in 2020 and 2021, after all it is your job, and let’s finally start the Morrison Governments Nat Gas lead recovery for this country.
