Then there's a whole bunch of steps to proceed with the acquisition. Cash payment, shareholder approval (EGM before March 18th), ASX confirmation that Capt 11 rules don't apply etc.
It's all spelt out in the Dec 18 announcement on page 7.
FWIW - Its instructive that discussions had begun with drilling contractors prior to the DD commencing.
