Interesting part to the finalisation of buy back announcement which no-one seems to have commented on.

"This consolidation of holdings now sees the Top 50 shareholders holding more than 43% of the post Buy-Back shares on issue (up from 33% this time last year)."

I found it interesting to release some statistics on the Top 50, which we don't have any visability of nor have we had comment on before. We only really know of movements within the Top 20.

At 21/03/2023 the top 20 held 1.5b of c5.01b shares (c30%). That would imply the next top 30 owned c140m shares or only 4.7m for each of these holders

At 27/10/2023 the top 20 held c1.4b of c5.01b shares (c.28%). This includes the reduction by The Trust Co.

If we say the 27/10 holders were unchanged as at January 2024 and then recognise the cancellation of shares, the next 30 holders have around 638m shares at an average of 21.3m per holder

I think what BRK is trying to say is that those Top 50 holders at January 2024 increased their holdings from 33% to 43% of the company (with some minor impacts due to the total shares on issue), but its a bit unclear until we get the next update as part of the quarterly on the 31st January (on the assumption as per usual they release on the last day).
