I agree that a decent interim dividend is important for a rerate. So fingers crossed we get one, even if it’s unfranked. Doesn’t need to be huge.
I asked the company about pearl demand/pricing. Apparently the market is still incredibly strong, but no one in the industry knows how long it will remain this strong for. The pearl market is one of the most opaque markets on earth and Atlas is the only listed pearl producer in the world that publicly discloses these metrics. I’m banking on the fact that it will last for a while. The company is right now a cash generating machine, and assuming that they can continue churning out cash at this rate for a few more halves, the stock will have no choice but to materially rerate. Hopefully that happens earlier e.g. release of interim results at the end of Feb.
