Its called demand and supply. If China (largest consumer of lithum) says we have enough lithium, demand is less. If Australia is still producing more than demand then supply is more which further brings the cost down. But this fake narrative should end some time. I would say its a good move by CXO to stop production and if others join this will cause supply to be less and commodity price will recover. Hopefully.
