thats your quote buddy... your words. its not justified. the BOM said that 24/25 summer was more likely to be drier. El Niño isn't directly associated with drought. but cooler water off the north coast does tend to result in less rain.

BUT the climate is impacted by the Indian Ocean Dipole, which is +ve atm resulting in increased rainfall on the east, and the Southern Annular Mode which caused the flooding in Vic recently.
