It might be nothing, but I always anticipated that Albemarle would have settled for the sub-5% stake in PMET because they got the offtake and could then take a bigger stake after the preclusion period expired.
If restocking is a thing and it might happen following Chinese New Year, I guess now would be a good time to supress price while we appear to be at a lithium pricing bottom in advance of any demand spike early next month follow Chinese New Year.
The two lithium districts together (around Corvette and Cancet) would no doubt look pretty appeal as a job lot, given they are only about 80-100km apart.
