Every legitimate news agency I've seen report this (including the one at the start of this thread) has used the words:
"Woolworths has confirmed it will no longer stock additional Australia Day-themed products in its supermarket or BIG W stores ahead of the 2024 public holiday."
If they are confirming something, it means they were asked.
Quietly releasing a statement in answer to a question isn't virtual signaling.
It's Dutton who's tried to blow this up and start a culture war with his talks of boycotting one of the biggest employers in Australia for pursuing lawful business operations.
