To put it in perspective, the decline in share prices can be directly attributed to the significant drop in lithium prices. This trend has led to a general downturn in the stock values of lithium companies. Of these, CXO has experienced one of the most severe impacts compared to its peers in the lithium sector.
Therefore the broader decline in lithium sector prices wasn’t something the ‘source’ could have anticipated. Therefore, attributing any specific piece of negative news directly to the overall downturn in the lithium market doesn’t quite add up.
