We wish we could strut around , knowing we are descended from some powerful tribe like the Vikings , but we cant because we know that if the Vikings had come from Australia we would not be descended from them -- we would be descended from the people who rounded them all up and shot them .

It is a bit awkward knowing that your country is home to the oldest continuous culture on earth and that your heritage is a two hundred year project to eradicate it.

Given that the Vikings invaded Britian multiple times and raped and pillaged and did so again via Normandy ( becoming King I might add ) plenty of Aussies are in fact descended from Vikings.

Plenty of Aussies have suffered invasions many more times that Aussie Aborigines as well on those facts.
