I read that chart showing that gas energy has increased significantly in recent years and will continue to increase for some years to come.
the IAEA and IEA both refer to nuclear as carbon free, but this is false as the amount of concrete (with no significant change to cement production, it is a major contributor of GHGs), mining operations, processing/refinement and transport are important contributors to CC. Moreover the projections show ho nuclear energy is expected to increase substantially. like gas.
wind/solar is really only a part of the transition. imo nuclear and gas will be with us for a while yet and maybe even permanently if they can sort out CCS. at least until nuclear fusion tech is successfully developed.
