a question i posed last week, and several times the month before, but still i cant get a straight answer from anyone here.
but first...........
8 months ago abbott replaces turnbull for essentially treason over ETS.
labor has a strong lead in the 'polls' (useless piece of numbers produced for the media to print) despite significant issues in handling stimulus problems.
3 months ago gillard replaces rudd for a variety of likely reasons, but to this day we still dont know.
with these few basic facts i now ask the question again...
HOW DID THE COALITION NOT WIN THAT 2010 ELECTION ?
in 2004 the libs won in a huge landslide due to labors poor choice of leader. they gain power in both houses and instead of using it to carefully put their safe choice of policies into place, push thru a dangerous piece called work choices. as a result of this and outward displays of arrogance the public launch a massive turnaround and deliver a landslide win to labor.
so the australian public prove they can change their mind in a 3 year period and to sufficient levels to take a seemingly safely in power liberal govt into opposition.
step forward 3 years to 2010.
considering the poor public display of labor, especially in the final year, why did the australian public NOT reverse their vote again and vote out labor ?
what factor(s) stopped the australian public from en-masse voting for coalition parties ?
i personally dont think taking 17 seats off labor is a good showing, considering the problems labor had in that last 12 months. the public have proved twice in the last decade they can decisively change their mind. why not on this occasion ?
in reply to this, do not point out polls, or the betting - JUST YOUR THOUGHTS.
