people who read the australian are a more conservative bunch...however having said that, I noticed similar voters in the herald sun, and the news and fairfax sites pre election... they were over whelming for the coalition and against labor
it was these polls that scared the daylights out of labor, sufficient to remove rudd from office... then labors own polling showed similar results....even after julia took over basically there are 40% who vote for labor, and 40% who vote for the coalition...leaving the other 20% as swinging voters, or people who vote independent or green
99% of the press are biased towards labor ...... so they push labors rubbish every chance they can.... at least with the on line polls, the voters have their say...voice their opinion
