Same thing is happening to me. Been on the phone with Computershare a couple of times and the operators have very limited knowledge. Been on the chat help several times but got lucky and got a person yesterday, who knew more. She sends me this secure identification form which I filled in so she could verify my identity. Anyway, she said that my problem is that my name was too long??? I have my holdings like you have in my SMSF which has symbols etc. She texted that she would check what can be done and will get back to me?
One good thing that I was told over the phone was, that they have a record off me and my IXHL shares, and I can sell my IXHL shares over the phone, and you don't need this online Computershare log in anyway.
So, I have filled in this US tax form, and I have asked her to send me forms for my Australian bank account details. He said that if they don't have my bank account details, I can still sell IXHL over the phone and Computershare will send me a cheque, but I am not sure if ANZ will except the Computershare cheque?
Since I have no more confidents in the very unprofessional US Computershare and their very limited operators unknowledge. "My name is too long, and the system doesn't recognise symbols". So why put those symbols in the first time??? is just unbelievable?
