I don't know about the golf and bowls but you sound like you have the fishing handled and if you come from wilcannia you might just know where to look for those elephant stocks, obviously they'd be out in the long paddock where all the good stocks are routed.
Just my attempt at a pun digger, on the aussie and the american pronunciation of routed; get it?
